After trying boxes and boxes of different kinds of ginger teas and trying two or three (or more) bags at a time, I finally figured out that THIS is how to make the very strongest and best ginger tea:
Fresh ginger root, peeled and grated
Honey, maple syrup or sweetener of your choice
Fresh lemon or lime
For each cup of tea, grate about 1/2″ to 1 inch of fresh ginger root and add to cup. Add boiling water and add your choice of sweetener (if desired). Add a squeezed piece of lemon or lime.
You can strain the tea through a small sieve if you want to – I just eat the ginger that ends up at the bottom of the cup!
